Where I live

I live in São Paulo, Brazil's and Latin America's biggest city with over 20 million people in the Greater São Paulo area. A melting pot of immigrants from all over. Fabulous food, many different cuisines: Italian (biggest consumption of pizzas in the world); Japanese (Brazil has the biggest Japanese colony in the world); lot's of meat places (Argentine style, Brazilian style, hamburgers); French, Lebanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, etc etc.

Typical Brazilian cocktail is the "caipirinha" - freely translated, the little hick )made of sugar cane hard liquor, (called "cachaça" or "pinga") sugar and fruit, most commonly lime. But can be any fruit and the cahcaça can be substituted by vodka or sake for instance.

Near hundreds of beaches, the nearest about 100 km away down the mountains. The interior of the State of São Paulo is known as the "Brazilian California" due to its'economic success.

On the other side we have all sorts of city issues - security, crime, infrastructure, noise, pollution, poverty... enough said.
