I am British and have been an IT->EN translator for 13 years. My fields of specialisation are mechanical engineering, accounts and finance, IT and telecommunications, marketing, tourism and agriculture. I use Trados 2011.

Where I live

I live in Chiswick which was an old village outside London until the 19th century and home of the famous painter Hogarth. Today it is part of Greater London, halfway between the airport and the centre of London. I work in the London Library which is a collection of 5-storey 18th-century houses in St James's Square near Piccadilly Circus. St James's Square was developed in the 17th century by Henry Jermyn, the Earl of St Albans, and one of the streets nearby is called Jermyn St and is the most famous shirtmakers' street in London.
