Native speakers Register, create free Profiles and offer translation services in their chosen language pairs at the price/word they have specified. Say Hello verifies the personal Profiles and manages a secure platform for their listing and the collection and transfer of payments from Customers.

How do I create a Profile?

Creating a Profile is easy, whether you are a Customer or a Translator. Sign-up using Facebook, Google+ or an e-mail address, complete your personal details and go through the verification process. Once you are verified you are all set to use Say Hello. The more of your Profile you complete the better your Customers will get to know you.

What languages should I translate?

As part of completing your Profile, you will need to specify what languages you speak, your native language, and what you can translate and review. Be sure to only pick the languages that you are fluent in, so that your translations are of a quality that Customers expect. And never promise anything that you cannot deliver.

What should I charge for translations?

It is entirely up to you as to what you want to charge for your translation. Complete the Translation Languages section of your Profile, specifying the Rate/Word price, based on the difficulty of the Translation and how quickly you can provide the Translation. Be sure to also sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement, in case your Customer intends to send you confidential materials.

How do I Request and Order a Translation?

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Decide what you would like to have translated, or reviewed from the categories provided (such as a business e-mail).
  2. Select your communication ‘From’ and ‘To’ languages.
  3. Specify how fast you require the translation to be completed, at any time of day or night.
  4. Submit your Translation Request to view a list of Translators who can prepare the translation when you need it.
  5. Select the Translator of your choice, upload the materials you would like to have translated, submit your Translation Order and pay, all through our trusted platform.
  6. Once the Translator confirms your Order, you will be charged for the Translation.
  7. If you are not fully satisfied with the Translation you receive, we will refund your payment. For more details see the Customer Refund Policy.

Can I cancel a Translation Order?

Once you have submitted a Translation Order you may not cancel. If your chosen Translator does not confirm the Order within the required time, then your Order will be automatically cancelled. As a Translator, you may not cancel a confirmed Translation Order.

Does Say Hello check the Translation?

Say Hello does not act as a Translation reviewer and will not check any materials submitted or translated. The relevant Translator is fully responsible for the quality of the Translation provided. However, the Say Hello Platform does include a Translator verification and Review process so that you can choose the right Translator with confidence.

Which Translator should I choose to complete my Translation?

As a Customer, you are free to select the Translator of your choice, so please look at their Profile and select based on verifications, languages, Reviews and other qualities you feel are important depending on what you are seeking to have translated.

How do I pay as a Customer?

You need to provide your payment details at the time of Ordering a Translation. If the Translator confirms your Order, we will charge you for the Translation.

How do I receive payment as a Translator?

If you are a Translator, amounts payable to you will be shown in your Say Hello Account (under Payouts). Say Hello will credit your Say Hello Account within 7 days after you complete the Translation (provided that the Customer has not taken issue with the quality of your Translation). Once your balance reaches 10 USD, we will transfer amounts owing to you via the payout method you have selected.

What if the Translation I need is confidential?

Say Hello requests all Translators to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) where they will receive confidential materials for translation. As a Customer, simply check the ‘Confidential Translation’ box if you are submitting such materials and you will be provided with a list of Translators that have signed the NDA.

How does the Customer Refund Policy work?

Following receipt of the Translation you have Ordered, you as a Customer have 4 business days to review the Translation and to raise any objections regarding its quality to the Translator and to us. If you do not raise any such objections then you are deemed to accept the Translation as provided.

What if I object?

If you do object to the quality of the Translation, you must first contact the Translator and try and resolve your concerns. If your concerns are not adequately resolved, then you need to provide both the translated materials and the materials you have provided to the Translator to us. We will then review and issue a full refund to you in accordance with our Customer Refund Policy.

What fees does Say Hello charge?

For the use of the Say Hello Platform, Say Hello charges Service Fees, made up of Customer Fees and Translator Fees. Customers are charged a 15% fee (min. USD 1.00), which is added to their Translation Order. Translators are charged a 3% fee, which is deducted from the Translation Costs.

What about Taxes?

If as a Translator you determine that you need to collect and remit taxes (including VAT), you can incorporate this into your Translation Rate/Word price. Please check with your tax advisor as Say Hello is unable to provide you with tax advice.

Please note that your earnings may also be subject to taxes.

Say Hello may also be required to charge VAT or a VAT equivalent on its Service Fees in certain countries. These taxes will be applied where necessary on top of the Service Fees set out above.
